Fairbanks: Land of the Midnight Sun

We found the Fairbanks area to be really interesting. We went to North Pole, Alaska, which is just outside Fairbanks. Next, we saw an Ice Sculpture Museum. There is a big Ice Sculpture contest each year in Fairbanks, and some of the sculptures are frozen for our enjoyment. We went to the Museum of the North at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks. Finally, we saw a portion of the Alaska Pipeline.
Here is a picture of the hotel we stayed in. The significant thing is that the picture was taken at midnight. It was as light as the afternoon.
There is also a picture of a ice sculpture of a polar bear, Rayna and Nana taking a break at Santa's House at the Northpole, and several of the pipeline.
